continue with the desert practice :)

i stugle with understanding colors so i picked desert as simple start point for learning .. any exercies you guys recomend how to study colors some recomend old master studies but i keep trying and it very hard to see all those colors in the paintig :/ 

any advice/feedback is much appreciated

i really like his colors and exercise will definitely do more especially the limited color palette look interesting still need to understand it first :D

also has tested the lasso tool for clean edges i think i found my new favorite tool lol :D

still so much to learn

i had start to learn how to paint landscape still colors so much issue for me

process of study:-

first try start with simple noise shape brush like traditional pencil i just like the feel ;) and areas to understand the shapes

then color try it still so loose but i still geting my hand into colors i propably need to do more small studies to understand how colors works and train my eyes more :)

 personally i really like the second one by Daniel I even had tried to paint it three times but still colors not my thing

i was going to hang a character like how he did in his piece on the other side lol 

omg :) anyway it was fun challenge :D

hi all 

I feel so happy after a lot of fighting with colors I think colors start talk to me

few sky studies from real photos and did extra couple landscapes

also start to get somewhat mountain :D

finaly a horse although I think I need to re viset the legs anatomy but overall i feel so happy :)

this my try still so much to learn especially the texture but it was fun learning challenge for me :)

the story:-
ancient battle between red and blue minion towns
they fought for long time using old crystal magic power
but there is beast lives in the mines they had to call and summon strong warriors to fight side to the town minions
that is the story of of war that is the warriors call..
who will answer the call ?..
that is your summoner ;)

that was the story I work with when I was creating the red tower & red buff cave

I thought I create mage minion as tower 

the red buff cave is old cave that is the old mine where the magic red crystal in 

but to get the old magic red buff the beast must be slay to enter it

I had started very late a week ago so no time to learn full workflow but it was good challenge
I learned a lot and will work on my texture


this was long week was trying to re-learn blender switch back to 3D
after long 3 years switching to 2D
it was fun learning challenge I probably have to go back and redo the texture I didnt have any time for it
i started very late only week before the deadline of the contest
+note to myself start early with new learning curve :)
but i had learned a lot in that challenge it was learning experience than contest for me and i am happy i did it
